At Hertford Prep, our youngest children enjoy the freedom to explore and learn in our beautiful woodland and extensive fields - whatever the weather! Outdoor learning is an essential part of Nursery life. Whether we’re peering through the bird hide, scrambling over logs, collecting natural materials for creative projects, visiting our hens, going on a bear hunt, searching for Easter eggs or building dens, every adventure helps our children develop key qualities such as bravery, curiosity, independence, perseverance, creativity and confidence.
Our Nursery is led by a highly experienced and dedicated team. With just one form of entry, we get to know every child as an individual, tailoring their learning to support their unique strengths and needs. We focus on nurturing a love of learning, building self-esteem, encouraging inquisitive minds and helping each child grow in independence and confidence.
Communication, kindness and collaboration are all modelled and celebrated, ensuring that children feel secure, supported and inspired from the very beginning of their learning journey.
