Our New Brand Film: Look A Little Closer
Our new brand film, Look a Little Closer, is here.
The film is a heartfelt and authentic celebration of the school's community, values and ambition following the introduction of our new brand identity.
Created in partnership with Affixxius Films, the film moves away from traditional school marketing approaches built around statistics, rankings and facilities. Instead, it focuses on the everyday experiences, relationships and opportunities that define life here at Hertford Prep inviting prospective families to look beyond first impressions and discover what makes the school such a special place to learn, grow and flourish.
At the heart of the film is a moving voiceover, written as an open letter to local parents and carers. Through this personal narrative, viewers are encouraged to see the school through a different lens, one that highlights the warmth of its community, the strength of its relationships and its commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
Every creative decision was carefully considered to ensure the film remained true to the reality of life at Hertford Prep. Rather than relying on scripted performances or staged scenarios, the film captures authentic moments from across the school, reflecting the curiosity, confidence and sense of belonging that pupils experience each day.
Emily Jenner, Head of School at Hertford Prep, said:
"Look a Little Closer is much more than a promotional film. It reflects who we are as a school and the values that sit at the heart of everything we do. We wanted to tell our story in a way that felt honest, genuine and human, showing not just what our pupils achieve, but how they feel when they are here. We are incredibly grateful to the pupils, parents and staff who gave their time and enthusiasm to support the project. Their willingness to share their experiences and welcome the film crew into everyday school life has helped create something that truly captures the spirit of our community."
