Story behind the film
Rather than relying on facts, statistics or a traditional promotional approach, the creative concept was built around a simple idea: Look a Little Closer. This film encourages prospective families to move beyond first impressions and discover the character, warmth and ambition that define everyday life at Hertford Prep.
Following the introduction of the new brand identity and transition to Hertford Prep, we commissioned Affixxius Films to create a film that would capture the essence of the school and bring its values to life through authentic storytelling.
Through a heartfelt voiceover, conceived as an open letter to local parents and carers, the film offers a genuine and emotional perspective on the school. Every creative decision was carefully made to reflect Hertford Prep's strong sense of community, nurturing environment and commitment to helping every child thrive.
More than an advertisement, the film is a celebration of curiosity, belonging and potential. It invites audiences to look a little closer and discover what makes Hertford Prep such a special place to learn, grow and flourish.

Hertford Prep is a welcoming and ambitious school for children aged 2-11, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Open Morning
Our Open Mornings are a great opportunity to hear from our Head, Mrs Jenner, meet our pupils and speak to our dedicated teachers.
Our next Open Morning will take place on Friday 2 October 2026 (09:30 - 11:00).
We'll also be running a Stay & Play session for children aged 2-4, so be sure to bring your little ones along to join the fun.
