- Odd Socks Day

What a wonderful sight it was around Hertford Prep this week stripes, spots, sparkles, and even socks with ears! From Frozen-themed favourites to the longest, wobbliest pairs we’ve ever seen, our community truly embraced Odd Socks Day to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week.
It wasn’t just about the socks (although they were quite something) it was about what they represented. As our recent ISI inspection so kindly highlighted, one of our real strengths as a school lies in our pastoral care. Our children are known for their empathy, kindness, and the way they look out for one another and that shone through once again this week.
Odd Socks Day was simply a colourful reminder of what we try to live every day: that our differences make us special, that kindness matters, and that we all have a part to play in creating a community where everyone feels they belong.
So, while the socks might have been odd, the message couldn’t have been clearer be kind, be brave, be adventurous and keep supporting one another. Well done, Hertford Prep you made us proud (and brightened up the school beautifully).
